![]() I am writing into Logitech CS as well about this and will update this thread with any developments I hear. Unsolvable on two systems, and I fancy myself pretty computer literate. ![]() I'm currently convinced there is no way around it from our end. ![]() I have little experience with diagnosing sound issues, as I've never really had trouble before, but I need this problem fixed ASAP so I can perform my work duties on this new machine, and I'd hate to have to shell out more cash for a new headset, all because of this silly compatibility issue. The fact that some noise will register is very curious to me, and may be a pretty big clue in diagnosing the issue for someone who's better versed in this topic. I've also noticed that blowing loudly directly into the mic will also register some sound, but nothing close to being able to speak normally and chat using the Mic. I have found that the mic DOES pic up some input and will register sounds, but you seriously have to shove the entire Mic in your mouth and basically scream for anything to register, but some sound will go through. However, basically nothing that you say will be registered by Windows, or any other software installed. Full HD, sounds fine, but the computer will barely register the Mic at all through USB adapter, but 3.5mm jacks work fine (but this is not a viable work-around for me).Īny normal speech with the Mic turned on via USB will sound to the user like everything is working properly you'll hear your voice cycled back through your headset speakers. The device works perfectly as headphones only. I believe that this will not be fixable from the user-end we will need a software update or firmware update from Windows/Logitech respectively to get this fixed. I am almost 100% certain that I've tried everything to correct the matter, drivers, headset firmware, every device manager and control panel stetting you can imagine(all of this on both systems at this point) and the issue persists. The headset works perfectly (Mic and sound) on any apple computer(boo). I just don't really know what to look for.I am experiencing the exact same problem with this headset, and I can reproduce it on 2 different Windows 10 systems, one custom build that I've just finished setting up, and the other on an ASUS Laptop that the issue has persisted on for months now. Maybe something more expensive like the ASTRO A40 TR would be a good choice? The Headsets that seem interesting to me right now are the Logitech G433 and the Logitech G935, but since both of those are Logitech, I might just have the same problems as with the G432. Is sidetone a common feature for gaming headsets? Can anyone recommend me a headset with that feature? But this doesn't seem to be a feature that is beeing advertised, so it's hard to look for it and to be sure that the headset has it. Now my Problem is: I want to find a Gaming Headset that has sidetone enabled all the time, or that at least gives me the option to enable it all the time. The Sidetone is not always activated, it only activates when an application actually uses the mic.Īnd after some googling, it seems that the second point applies to several, if not all "newer" Logitech headsets and there are more people like me who have this problem and don't like this. I've had this headset for less than 10 months, is. If I pull up or move the right headset the sound shifts from the left to the right until either I hear sound in both ears or it reverts to the left ear again. The quality of the sidetone channel is somehow noticeably bad.Ģ. Whenever I move my headset or take it off, the sound completely cuts off in the right ear. Sadly this is not the case, I don't like some minor things about it but the 2 big ones are:ġ. I didn't like it at first but I've just gotten used to it and actually like it very much now.Īs my G430 broke recently and since I could not find it anymore for a reasonable price, I just bought the G432, thinking it would be pretty much the same headset, just sligthly updated. This means whenever the Headset was plugged in and it wasn't muted via the slider on the cable, I could hear myself. I used to have the Logitech G430 and I was extremely happy with it, the sound, ergonomics and mic quality were good enough for me, the price very cheap at ~45€ and it had permanently sidechannel enabled. ![]() Hey, I need some help choosing my next gaming headset.
